How to create a patient encounter (consultation or admission).

The Patient Encounter page is the page used to capture vitals, or Doctor's notes. For outpatients a patient encounter is referred to as a consultation, while an inpatient stay is referred to as an admissions.

  2. click the Consultation toolbar button to create a consultation (or the Admission toolbar button to create an admission). These buttons are only visible after you have found and selected a particular patient.
