How to create a consultation or an admission.

In this manual, the term consultation denotes both consultations and admissions, which are facilitated through a similar interface with minor variations. However, in certain contexts, the term consultation may specifically refer to inpatient scenarios, while admission is consistently used for outpatient situations.

The Consultation page is the page used to capture vitals, or Doctor's notes. For outpatients a patient encounter is referred to as a consultation, while an inpatient stay is referred to as an admissions.
  2. click the Consultation toolbar button to create a consultation (or the Admission toolbar button to create an admission). These buttons are only visible after you have found and selected a particular patient.
