This input field provides a list oflists the nine9 different document types that can be created usingfrom the document interface. The different document types availablewhich can be selected for selectionare include:: quotation, invoice, receipt, goods received note, purchase order, credit note, stock transfer order, and stock transfer form.

EveryAll documentdocuments musthave specifyto have an intended external party.party which is defined in the document. Before selecting the specific party, first the party type musthas firstto be selected. This selector provides a dropdown list withhas the following options:options in its dropdown list: patient, corporate, supplier,supplier and storerooms.
Some combinations of document types and party types are possible.not feasible. For instance,example ifonce you select ‘Purchasethe Order’purchase order as the document type, then the only available party type which can be selected is ‘Supplier’,the asSupplier since purchase orders are documents intendedmeant for communication between the system user and an external supplier. All other party types are disabledgreyed out in the party type selector because only the Supplier party type is applicable for a purchase order.
The party type selector selects the type in thisgeneral, case.while Thethe specific party object for the document (e.g., the specificspecfific supplier that is to receive a purchase order), is selected in the Documentdocument Variablesvariables section.Currency
Button
The currency toggling button.
This button is only visible only when the selected document type (within the blue ribbon) is either an invoice or a quotation. UponOn initiallyfirst opening of the document page,page the document currency is set to the default currency. ClickingWhen clicked, the currency toggling button changes the document’scurrency currencyfor the document to the next enabled currency. After this change,change document prices (i.e.,e sales prices, unit costs,costs etc.)e.t.c). are updated based on the specificparticular exchange ratesratest which are set in the system. ContinuallyContinuing clickingto click the currency toggling button cycles through the enabled currencies, eventuallyeven returning back to the currency that was defined by default.
The document variables section.
This section is located just below the blue ribbon section. By default currency.it is hidden. This section is only displayed when the party type selector is not blank.

The document number input.
Located directly beneath the Blue Ribbon section, the Document Attributes section is hidden by default and only becomes visible when a party type has been selected.

The caption input.
This optionalinput input,is whenoptional. filled,If printsnot itsleft blank, then the value of this input is printed as a paragraph just above the table. It’sThe usedpurpose of this text is to highlight or describe any notable information regarding the document or transaction. For instance,example for an invoice,invoice the customer’s tax number or VATthe vat number for the customer may be enteredtyped as the caption.Footer

Much like the caption, the footer is an optional input. The text enteredtyped in the footer appears in the the document just below the table. Many users utilizeuse the footer input to specify additionalother information aboutregarding the document. For example, within a Goodsgoods Receivedreceived Note,note the footer input can be used to describe any breakages or other notable occurrencesoccurances which occurred during the delivery.

Each row in the table within the table section represents a uniquedifferent inventory item or service. No item or service can be selected in more than onceone row (i.e. there cannot be any repeatition of the same item within a document.document). Each table row is dividedsubdivided into several columns, with each withcolumn anhaving inputone field.input. Most column inputs are regular text inputs,inputs. while theThe code and description columns are special and have inputs which are classified as hybrid inputs. Typing in the code or description hybrid inputs filters the available options (items and services) within the dropdown. Sometimes,Sometimes it mayis be desirabledesireable to exclude certainsome items or services from the options available for selection in documents. This ability to select specific inventory items or services is achieveddone by means of using categories.
There is a setting thatwhich specifies the categories of inventory items which are available for selection within a document,document. andThere is a separate setting forwhich specifies the service categories.categories Ifwhich eitherare available for selection within a document. For both settings if the setting is left blank, then all database inventory items or services can be selected whenfrom in composing the table section rows.

By default this button is grey, which shows that it is greyinactive. by default, becomes active (turns green) onceOnce one or more objects have been added to the table. Iftable, the button turns green. If it is greengreen, and one or more required fields are blank,blank clicking it will focus onthen one of the blank required fields.fields is focused on. It sometimes occurs that as you are creating a documentdocument, and selecting inventory items or services tofor addadding them to the table, a user may realizerealises that an item or service they wish to add to the document is currently not currently created in the database.
